HC Maysa Dance HC Maysa Dance was bred by and born at Heritage C Egyptian Stud. She was sired by Calypso Dance (Makhsous x Antigua Dance) and our of our foundation *Magidaa granddaughter, Maisamm. The trainability of this line of mares is remarkable and well appreciated by many. Maysa Dance was an excellent producer of both mares and stallions, having produced 3 colts and 7 fillies in her breeding career. While most of her daughters were purchased before they could be shown, her one offspring to be shown was Reserve Champion in a class of 12 at the Egyptian Event. Maysa Dance now lives in a well deserved and relaxed retirement in Texas. HC Maysa Dance - 2007 Straight Egyptian mare, (Calypso Dance x Maisamm by Rofann), Obeyyah Om Grees strain, Maysa (EAO) family. Maysa’s sire, Calypso Dance, a full brother to Kehailan Arabians Marquis I, is by Makhsous and out of a Ruminaja Bahjat daughter whose tail female line traces to Bint Samiha, giving him the same dam line as Nazeer. Having sired National Top Ten Halter Stallion KMF Ali Calypso in his first breeding season, Calypso Dance achieved Champion Halter Stallion status in his first and only show. Maysa’s dam is sired by Rofann, a National Top Ten Futurity Stallion and English Pleasure ribbon winner of Gleannloch bloodlines who was sired by Soufian (Alaa El Din x Moniet El Nefous) and out of Bint Romanaa ++, a National Top Ten Halter Mare and Champion in English Pleasure, Reigning, Western Pleasure and Mounted Native Costume, whose female line is well known for strong athleticism. Maysa’s grand dam, Maysa, was sired by the Bentwood Farms herdsire, Moniet El Sharaf, an intensely Moniet El Nefous bred horse and out of the famed broodmatron *Magidaa, progenitress of one of the most winning families in modern history. Standing over 15 hands, Maysa bares the ultra-refinement of her Moniet El Nefous heritage coupled with the conformational substance of her *Magidaa and *Hoda female lines. Her big dark eye, small ears and fine muzzle set atop a long, curvy neck and substantial body, Maysa is often seen cavorting and snorting, tail held like a banner, like a ballerina over the sand. We look for her to carry forward her Abbayan family lines here at Heritage C in the years to come.
