Maisamm – 1991 Straight Egyptian mare, Obeyyah Om Grees strain, (Rofann x Maysa by Moniet El Sharaf) Maisamm’s sire, Rofann, was a National Top Ten Futurity Stallion and English Pleasure ribbon winner of Gleannloch breeding who was sired by Soufian (Alaa El Din x Moniet El Nefous) and out of Bint Romanaa ++, a National Top Ten Halter Mare and Champion in English Pleasure, Reigning, Western Pleasure and Mounted Native Costume, whose female line is well known for strong athleticism. Maisamm’s dam, Maysa, was sired by the Bentwood Farms herdsire, Moniet El Sharaf, an intensely Moniet El Nefous bred horse and out of the famed broodmatron *Magidaa, progenitress of one of the most winning families in history. With the tail female line to Mahfouza/El Obeya Om Grees, the combination of her 5 lines to Moniet El Nefous coupled with the influence of her granddam *Magidaa, provide for dry desert beauty, elegance  and substance. Maisamm is over 15 hands, has long straight legs, strong feet, a deep hip, well sloped shoulder, large well set eyes and smooth well cadenced gaits. She is a producer of high quality foals and a steady, elegant riding mare favored by nearly everyone who has known her. Her legacy continues with her only daughter, HC Maysa Dance.
