Ravenwood Sensation - 2003 Straight Egyptian Mare, (Ravenwood Majesty by RG Al Mone x Ravenwood Cody by RG Al Mone), Dahma Shahwaniyah strain, Sensation’s sire is a classically exotic herd sire for Ravenwood Ranch Arabians (Al & Jane Bohn) who, with relatively limited numbers of progeny, has achieved leading Straight Egyptian Performance Sire status at the Egyptian Event, though his halter winning offspring are numerous as well. Sensation’s dam, Ravenwood Cody, a strikingly beautiful and productive broodmare from a line of prolific producers, has passed on her qualities in full measure to Sensation. Sensation’s genetic background of approximately one third Medallela (granddam of Moniet El Nefous) family breeding, multiple lines to Ansata Ibn Halima and a tail female line to Farida, the Abla family,  through Gleannloch’s Il Mara combine with a heritage of strong athleticism through her ancestors Zaafarana, Bint Maisa El Saghira and Rashad Ibn Nazeer. With her very large eyes set low and wide in her head, large jowel, fine muzzle, thin curvy neck, correct leg and body conformation and powerful movement, Sensation has “made glad the desert”. Snorting and blowing with her tail held high, Sensation’s tractable disposition endears her all the more. To date, she is a producer of abundant merit and we gladly embrace her future.
